When working with a recruitment agency, whether for contract or permanent roles, the focus is often on the client and how capable or skilled the candidates are. But what exactly does a candidate think of this method of employment? Our team recently spoke to Pete, who’s been employed through BRS Jobs for over five years.
I’ve been working with steel for the last 8 years. Before this, I worked as a roofer/waterproofer.
I’ve been provided work by several different agencies; like most things, some are better than others. When it comes down to whose the best, it’s without a doubt BRS. The agency operates much more professionally than others but where they especially excel at is their loyalty to you.
I’ve always tried my best to ensure I have work provided by BRS, which hasn’t been too tricky as they’ve always had plenty of work - even during lockdowns! They’ve got a great company ethos, upheld by a super team of great people like Tegan, Holly, Scarlett & Jordan. All who are happy to answer the phone or text back to any queries or issues.
Getting paid! I’ve never worked for an agency that has taken so much care into making sure their workers get paid. If ever I’ve forgotten to send over my hours/timesheets - I’ll, without a doubt, get a friendly nudge to make sure that I don’t miss out on a salary.
As well as taking payments seriously, BRS are fantastic at making sure that once one job is coming to an end, they have something in the pipeline to move to straight after. This is one of the best things as agencies often neglect people, and you find that most of your day is used up chasing for either work/payments/info. Never had this happen with BRS.
If you’d like to work for an agency where you’re supported and don’t feel the need to worry about payments or having work lined up, then BRS is the agency you should go for.
